Many are confused about how to balance family and ministry.
Whether you are called to a grass hut or to a glass tower, the call of God always involves sacrifice. But, we are not called to sacrifice family for ministry. Consider Noah.
"The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY." Genesis 7:1
"By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark TO SAVE HIS FAMILY." Hebrews 11:7
Noah fully obeyed God's call. His sacrificial obedience saved his family, and the world. Too many leaders today lose their family in the process of saving the world. It should not be that way.
You want to save the world? Saving your family is step one.
Is it right to say that it is impossible to balance family and ministry but we can sure PRIORITIZE.

100 % agree Steve..... too many people in history have made heroes of those who "achieved" much, but they fail to probe the family dynamic. One example - the largest humanitarian org in the world is World Vision. Amazing impact - it started when one canadian dude saw kids dying of starvation while standing in line for food in Korea. He was ruined and knew God was tugging his heart to intervene. The call was legit but he did not know when the burden and ambition in him was to be tempered by family. After his death, his daughter released a book describing how her sister had committed suicide in part due to the "always absent dad". Don't make the mistake of trying to become the Holy spirit - the great commission applies to our families as much as it does the "outer most parts" - Brant
